Members affiliated with the Queens & Bronx Building Association (QBBA)
receive the following benefits:
- Publications
Receive a subscription to our informative newsletter with quarterly
updates on topics of concern to the local building community. Plus,
take advantage of the opportunity to promote your products and services
to the membership with an advertisement and article about your company
in the newsletter. An annual directory of member companies is also published.
- More Business Contacts
Our monthly membership dinner meetings and our social events (including
golf outings, building awards and holiday party, picnics, and a trade
show) give members an opportunity to get to know one another and cultivate
contacts that will generate new business. Guest speakers at meetings
have included Commissioners of various City agencies, Deputy Mayors,
Congressmen, and mayoral candidates. We also sponsor a legislative breakfast.
- A Voice for You
The QBBA is your voice with all branches of local government including
the City Planning Department, Building & Highway Department, and
the Department of Environmental Protection. The association is represented
by a registered lobbyist. Our goal is to convince the City Planning
Commission, the Borough President's Office, and the City Council, that
zoning and land use controls must favor reasonable levels of new construction.
- Save Money
We have a Worker's Compensation "Safety Group" which entitles
members to upfront discounts and a 20% to 40% dividend (cash back) at
year end. Other benefits of this program include daily individual claim
review and administration, experience modification reviews, interest
free payment plans, and OSHA safety reviews.
